CAIRO: Setting Security RightsEvery user has a particular set of security rights, these allow them - or restrict them from - access to particular functions. For example, some users may be able to add documents, but not edit or remove them. Select Admin menu, Edit Permissions to see this form:
You can click EDIT to modify any security permissions for a user:
Officers: Has general system management rights - allows the user access to all administration functions. This also often includes the ability to remove documents, members and so forth which must be treated with some caution. It is anticipated this option is only available to the Member Services team. A user assigned this status will automatically receive all other rights except System Operator. SYSTEM OPERATOR ONLY: Has system operator rights - allows access to all parts of the system and can modify system configuration details and more. This permission should be heavily restricted. Users with this permission automatically receive all other rights. Allowed to circulate documents to members - user can print or email documents to members Change confidential documents to public - user can make a confidential document non-confidential and available to the public. This user can also read confidential documents. Can delete committee documents - user can remove committee documents. Normally reserved for Member Services users only. Can edit committee documents - user can modify existing committee documents. Normally reserved for Member Services users only. Can authorise documents for the web - user can authorise committee documents as being suitable for publishing to the public web site. Normally reserved for Member Services users only. Can read committee documents - user can read committee documents internally. Can be used widely. Change progress status of documents - user can change documents from In Progress, Draft and Approved. Normally reserved for Member Services users only. Can write new committee documents - user can create committee documents. Normally reserved for Member Services users only - but may be made available to other users within the council. Can read members list - user can read the member details - usually available to all in the council - but as the members list include private contact details you may want to restrict this. Can write to members list - user can modify members details. Normally reserved for Member Services users only. Can write todo list - user can add or modify items on the ToDo list. Normally reserved for Member Services users only.
