Halflife Cheats

If you just can't get past the odd assasin or can't hack Half-life at all, here are some single player cheats... As with Quake and Quake II, they must be typed in at the console which you get by pressing the key left of 1. (It's the pipe ¦ and single speech mark ` in the UK and (I think) the tilda ~ in the US).

In order to get the console, you have to load up halflife with the -console command line variable. This can either be done in MS DOS Prompt, by changing directory and typing it in, or by making a batch file. Type in the following, in either case and change the directory structure according to where you have it installed:
        c:
        cd \sierra\halflife
        hl.exe -console -dev

Now, when you load up HL, you should see a "console" button in the top-left corner, which you can click to access the console.
Start a new game, and while the train takes you into the MESA Research Facility, type in at the console:
        sv_cheats 1

Cheats are now enabled, and when you start the next level, (which will happen before the train stops) you'll be able to use the cheats below.

GOD - god mode.
IMPULSE 101 - all weapons and ammo, etc.
NOCLIP - walk through walls/fly.
SV_GRAVITY x - change the level of gravity to x
MAP xxxx - go to map xxxx.

Here's the maplist:
