New Release of Zetafax for Windows NT and Clients

Zetafax was one of the earliest Fax Server packages for Microsoft NT. We have installed it at sites large and small and it has proved a very robust and popular package. Earlier versions have had one or two shortcomings and we are very pleased to see them corrected in this latest version.

New Features:

  • New printer drivers for Win 95/NT support embedded addressing
  • Improved support for different paper sizes
  • Multi-page coversheets (where coversheet text overflows onto multiple pages)
  • Automatic registration

New Email Gateway - Fax from Exchange

Integrates Zetafax directly into Exchange (or MS Mail, CC:Mail, Lotus Notes).

The Zetafax mail gateway allows Exchange users to send and receive faxes just like e-mail.

Outgoing faxes can be prepared using Exchange or Outlook clients, just as though they were another email message. Similarly, incoming faxes can be routed directly to a users in-box for immediate viewing alongside e-mail.

E-mail attachements such as Word and Excel are automatically processed by the Fax Server.

E-mail distribution lists can contain both e-mail and fax numbers. So one distribution list covers both sets of readers.

Notification of fax status by email - so you know that your fax has been sent successfully.

    Not heard of Zetafax before?

Zetafax provides a true client/server fax solution for Windows NT/95 networks. Users can fax from any Win 95 client, direct from the Word Processor or other application.

Address books can be personal, or shared across the organisation to simplify fax sending and reduce errors.

Inbound faxes can be automatically received and routed to the correct user or a suitable plain paper printer.

Zetafax is a powerful package, and can save significant amounts of time and money compared to traditional fax machines.

Updates to TUDOR - the best Uniplex to MS-Word converter

Our high quality Uniplex to MS-Word converter has been through some updates recently to fix some outstanding niggles & glitches.

    1) Landscape and Portrait changes using the .SN LANDSCAPE command are now embedded in the converted document.

    2) Uniplex' bizarre handling of spaces and hardtabs in justified text is now emulated perfectly.

    3) New configuration options now support ruler CPI settings for "quality" style users.

    4) New heuristic mechanisms identify addresses and prevent re- formatting.

Existing users of TUDOR need to contact us for details on receiving the upgrade.

For new users, TUDOR handles all those Uniplex features other converters do not. For example, TUDOR fully understands Uniplex print styles, multi-columns and tables - giving you fully editable conversions.

TUDOR provides its output in RTF (Rich Text Format) and can be read by most leading WP packages, including Word, WordPerfect, AmiPro, SmartSuite and many more.

Want to know how you can make Windows turn off your PC when you close down Windows?

    In Win '95 Release 1:-

Open the Control Panel, Select System On the Devices Tab, select System Devices

You should see an entry for Advanced Power Management.

This will allow you to set auto-shutdown (as well as hard disk power management)

    In Win '95 OSR 2:-

Control Panel already has a special icon for handling Advanced Power Management. OSR2 also supports "suspend" mode too.

I can't see any APM settings?

    Two possibilities:

    1) BIOS Not configured for APM

When your PC starts hit your BIOS SETUP key (often DEL) Look for entries relating to Power Management

Set APM to be enabled and re-boot the machine. If you still cannot see the APM options in Control Panel, proceed to step 2

    2) Your BIOS APM was not enabled when Windows was installed, With the BIOS setup correctly, run Add New Hardware, Windows should pick up the fact the APM is now enabled and add the options for you.
