Uniplex Business Software, Version 8.10 contains both major new functionality and some significant enhancements to
existing applications. It also includes a revision to the packaging of the suite, with a number of modules being retired
and a completely new module added.

Basic System Features
- File Manager
Split-screen display, similar to File Manager in Windows, allows simple navigation of files. Also all running applications may be accessed from within File Manager - and third party applications can be included.
- Access to File Manager from all Applications
Easy file selection whenever a file name is required.

File names can be as long and complex as you like
- Document Templates
Setup standard documents, such as memos, and the File Manager ensures that all new documents look the same.

Revised Packaging for UBS Version 8.10
Some packaging changes have been made to rationalize the product structure and to increase the value to the customer
of a basic Uniplex system. In Version 8.10 both the Advanced Graphics System and Uniplex Windows modules have been
retired and their functionality is now included in the Uniplex II Plus module.
Uniplex II Plus also includes the new File Manager application developed for the Version 8.10 release, so the value of
this module has been significantly increased.
A new module, Uniplex Document Access (DA), has been added to the suite. Uniplex Document Access extends the information
sharing capabilities of a Uniplex system by including document converters and automatic document recognition technology
from the onGO range of products; this enables you to read or edit documents from other systems and you can convert
documents you have prepared to other formats before you distribute them.
The Uniplex Document Access module also allows you to define named, shared work areas that may be accessed directly
from the File Manager and to run the File Manager on networked file systems. Uniplex Document Access must be licensed
for all Uniplex II Plus users.
So Uniplex Business Software, Version 8.10 consists of the following modules:

- From Version 7 or earlier.
You may upgrade all your existing installed modules directly to Version 8.10. If you only
had Uniplex II Plus installed you'll get AOS too, and you'll benefit from the new File Manager functionality, and
because the AGS and Uniplex Windows are now included in the base module.

From Version 8.0.
The upgrade from Version 8.0 to Version 8.10 upgrades all installed modules. Since the upgrade to Version 8.0 included AOS, this will also be upgraded.
